The End of An Extremely Busy Week

Are Sundays the beginning of a new week or the end of the week that led up to it?

Either way, this past week has been an extremely busy week for me. I'm tired. I'm worn out. And I have lots of things around the house to catch up on.

This last week held a lot of running in regards to the inter-district transfers, working one day at the preschool, an Orthodontist consult for Hannah, helping my Mom with my Dad's party, a few other miscellaneous things this week, and heaven forbid we not forget about my root canal whereas I completely lost a day. LOL.

A friend asked me to go to Disneyland this afternoon after church, and would you believe I turned down the offer!?!? Besides the fact that Hannah's pass expired this week and I'd been too busy to realize some Disney Reward Points needed to be transferred to the card towards purchasing it, I just really needed an afternoon home. Home, where my shoes have been kicked off, I'm in a grubby shirt, and my hair has been pulled up and I don't care if my make-up is smudged. I'm Home.

So I've been throwing a load of laundry in here and there, baking some cookies and throwing some into the freezer for upcoming social events whereas I may need to bring a snack, and sitting and reading a chapter here and there of a new Karen Kingsbury book I started on Friday morning.

We had an early dinner, and the dishes have been cleaned up already. The girls have been bathed and are in their pajamas. It'll be to bed early for them. In the words of the famous Yoda "Rest. It's rest I need." I need rest. I need some rest on these weary ears from hearing whinning and nonstop talking all weekend. Yes, the stressful and busy week has caught up to me, and despite my Mom having them for two days this week, helping me out on the day of my root canal, as well as another day, my children are driving me nuts this weekend. LOL.

I have some ripened bananas that are needing to be turned into something, so I think I shall go turn it into banana bread and toss that into the freezer as well. Hope everyone else is enjoying this beautiful Sunday afternoon/evening!

I started her "This Side of Heaven". I know it's not that 'new', but I finally had the opportunity to sit and read for a spell on Friday.
