Church Christmas Party
This evening was our church Christmas party. Despite meeting in a school auditorium our dinners and parties are always done up really nice. Everything was decorated nicely and they even had a couple small tables designated as the "kids tables" as kids were welcome to come. In addition to dinner, there was a white elephant/gift exchange among the 100+ people that attended. It's generally a huge stealing war for Starbucks gift cards, or any gift cards for that matter. We didn't end up with any gift cards, but I did steal this nice Disneyland mug, accompanied by a can of Almond Roca! I love my new mug! It's perfect for me!After helping tear down and getting things put away, we went to Starbucks for a warm drink and some more fellowship with friends. I always enjoy spending time with our friends from church. The Lord has truly blessed us with some really good friends in our church family. Thanks to my brother and sister-in-law, for having our girls over for the night. Our girls were extremely excited about spending the night with their cousins! It's definitely something they always love to do and long to do more often!

I thought a white elephant gift exchange was where you bring a dumb gift? Gift cards and the gifts you got don't seem like that to me (well, maybe the Disney mug...just kidding!).
We're having one at our church later in the month, and I planned to bring this silly thing that's been rattling around in my gift bin for years, but maybe I should inquire more about it before I embarass myself by being the only one to bring something goofy!
By the way, our neighbor brought us Almond Roca last week! Whoo-hoo!
Yes, typically a white elephant gift exchange is when you bring something totally goofy or weird. It doesn't really make sense to do it combined with a gift exchange, because you could have brought Starbucks gift cards and end up going home with the Rooster cookie jar. Which totally stinks. LOL.
What a sweet picture!! So adorable. :D
