A Place of My Own: Funniest Thing I've Read Today

I check The Drudge Report daily to stay atop the news headlines, etc. So far today, I've found two headlines that stand out in a funny sort of way...

"Pelosi Says Birth Control Will Help Economy."

and

"Blagojevich Says He Thought of Oprah for Senate."

Joy Howse said...: I heard about the whole Oprah thing on the radio this morning on my way back from grocery shopping and I thought, "you have got to be kidding me!!" Though she does command a huge audience who seem to worship her at times.
The whole birth control thing, too funny as well. I know a few parents at the schools I used to teach in that need to use birth control, and even a sister of mine.

The funniest thing about it is that Oprah said, "I think I could be senator, too, I'm just not interested." Well, she has about the same amount of experience as the former senator did, so maybe she has a point. She's probably not interested because she has FAR more influence and power in her current job!
